Little Dagur is growing so fast, almost 2 years old and with that comes the need for new clothes. He started Kindergarten last fall and needed a new warm sweater to wear under his little winter coat. And when such circumstances occur we, knitting ladies, feel the urge to draw the needles from the holster!
I LOVE the raven pattern from Litla prjónabúðin (The little knitting shop), a local knitting store in Reykjavík. No matter how hard I tried to find a new sweater pattern I always ended up with a the raven pattern again. So I bought the yarn and decided I would make this one from other colors than the last one. Grey with dark brown ravens. I LOVE this yarn (Lama wool), it's really soft and cozy (I still love the lopi yarn though!), perfect for kids that put on the itchy-face and pull the neckline with disapproval when wearing sweaters from lopi yarn so the knitting lady's heart is about to break LOL!
Here is little sugar coated Dagur wearing his new Krummi sweater and carrying his favorite friend Bangsi (which means Teddy):
Pattern: Krummapeysa by Dagbjörtu at Litla prjónabúðin
Book: Saumaklúbburinn, Stóra prjónabókin and you can buy the single pattern at her shop
Needles: 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm
Yarn: Lamawool from Strikkebogen (also sold at Litla prjónabúðin)
Oh, and here is Dagur at age 1, wearing the raven sweater I made for him in February 2014:
